The Kerala Social Service Forum (KSSF), the state-level platform of Social Service Societies of the Catholic Dioceses in Kerala, is recognized as the official body of the Regional Church for promoting, facilitating, and coordinating the social actions of the Diocesan Social Service Societies [DSSS], under the Commission for Justice, Peace, and Development [JPD]. The Chairman of the JPD Commission, KCBC, is regulating the affairs of the organization and the Secretary, appointed by KCBC, is the Chief Executive functionary. The General Body of the Forum is constituted of the Diocesan Directors for Social Action from all the 32 Catholic Dioceses in Kerala as ex-officio members and one lay representative from each of the dioceses as nominated members. This Forum builds the perspectives and sets the horizons of thematic areas for the network’s member organizations and evolves the strategies for responding to the emerging socio-economic issues in the state.
